Urban Tree Management began as a tree-care service component of the Urban Tree Alliance. Over time the two portions of UTA (fee-for-service tree care and other not-for-profit activities) slowly came into their own and it made more sense to separate them. Urban Tree Management now provides all tree care services, but continues to support the efforts of the Urban Tree Alliance through equipment, time, and financial donations; community networking; and expert consulting.
